DCF Immersion

When handling certain metals like titanium and magnesium there is always the risk of an explosion. The DCF Immersion is made for handling these metals and other reactive materials in a safe way. The material is sucked/transported through a fluid and collected in a fine net basket. The basket keeps the collected materials in the neutralizing fluid until emptied.

A water catchment system with a demister filter prevents moisture from exiting the system. For extra protection against moisture a hydrophobic filter can be used as an optional accessory.

IMPORTANT! Dustcontrol recommends to use light mineral oil as a neutralizing fluid to secure that there is no hydrogen in the container. This is important because many metals (like aluminium, magnesium and titanium) do react in combination with water by producing hydrogen which is a highly flammable.

In those cases the use of water is strictly forbidden. If water is being used, it must be ensured that the extracted material does not produce hydrogen or any other kind av flammable gas in combination with water.
